The Asian Youth Council is a non-governmental regional youth organization, formed on the 14th of August 1972, to provide a common platform for Asian youth and youth leaders pursuing similar objectives for economic and social development.

AYC and UYFC is organizing the Asian Youth Forum, on the sidelines of the Asian Youth Council Annual General Assembly (AYC-AGS). The aim of the Asian Youth Forum is to foster the relationship of the youth participants that comes from different backgrounds and also to get inputs and ideas from the youths through discussions.

The central premise of sustainable security is that we cannot successfully control all the consequences of insecurity, but must work to resolve the causes. In other words, ‘fighting the symptoms’ will not work, we must instead ‘cure the disease’.

OBJECTIVES

  • To foster an integrated approach to peace through sustainable security
  • To create a culture of peace and support within the youth community
  • Emphasize partnership responsibility and life skills to be productive and successful.
  • To initiate a community project through democratic approach to achieve SDG

PARTICIPANTS

  • The organizer is inviting 10 youth delegation (man or woman- comprising one head of delegate and nine participants) from the member countries of Asian Youth Council such as Malaysia, Cambodia, China, Brunei, South Korea, India etc and as the host country 200 youths from Cambodia.
  • Total will be targeted 300 participants.
  • Participants should be between 18-35 years old during registration, able to communicate in English and participates in the whole program.
  • Youths leaders, government servants, private sectors, members of NGOs, youth activists, Lecturers etc

EXPENSES/COST

  • Participants are required to arrange and pay for their own international flights
  • The organizer will provide all delegations, except for local participants, unless required, with local hospitality including food, accommodation and local transportation during the event, head of delegation will be accommodated in a single room while other participants will share twin rooms by two persons
  • The organizer is not responsible for VISA application for participants that requires a VISA to attend the forum

  • DAY 1: Opening Ceremony, Lecture, discussion
  • DAY 2: Lectures and Plenary Session
  • DAY 3: Country Presentation and action plan.
  • DAY 3: Annual general Meeting
